We provide compassionate, skill-building spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals, their loved ones, and allies of all kinds can explore identity, deepen understanding, and practice authentic support.
We offer a range of accessible programs—from free community workshops and affordable webinars to partnerships with nonprofits and affirming faith communities. We also occasionally offer queer identity discovery retreats.
Whether we’re facilitating a workshop on the Split-Attraction Model, training a university’s staff to facilitate their own discussions, or gathering a small group for a weekend retreat on chosen family, our work is rooted in empathy, practical tools, and a commitment to progress over perfection.
At this time, we are unable to offer any type of programming to individuals under 18 in America.
This difficult decision is driven by the current political climate in the US, which has created a complex and heightened legal and liability landscape for organizations serving queer and questioning minors.
Our first priority is to ensure a reliably safe and legally sound space for all participants, which we cannot guarantee for American youth under current conditions.
We strongly recommend the following specialized organizations for youth support:
- The Trevor Project: Crisis intervention and support for LGBTQ youth (thetrevorproject.org)
- PFLAG: Support and resources for families and allies (pflag.org)
- GLSEN: Focus on creating safe K-12 schools (glsen.org)
We hope to expand appropriate aspects of our content and mission to serve younger participants in the future, when we can do so with the full confidence and protections they deserve.
You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email (hello@emergencepathways.org). We aim to respond quickly; usually within two business days.

Our workshops are interactive, facilitator-led experiences that balance education with genuine human connection. Each session typically runs 90 minutes to 2 hours and includes a mix of brief teaching, personal reflection, small group discussion, and practical skill practice—all within a container built on clear community agreements and psychological safety.

Our profiles on BookRetreats.com and Retreat.Guru list the specific details of our experiences.
In short, they are a curated selection of our most popular workshops that take place over the course of a long weekend in an intimate small-group setting, hosted at a luxury private property in the White Mountains ensuring privacy and tranquility.
We combine an appreciation of the incredible natural beauty surrounding us with a healthy enjoyment of the amenities of modern life. No camping, long hikes, or scaring away black bears.
Our retreat pricing is intentionally structured to cover the significant costs of creating a safe, transformative, and all-inclusive experience as well as directly supporting our scholarship program and free/low-cost community events.
We acknowledge this price point is not affordable for everyone, which is precisely why a portion of every paid registration funds scholarships for those with demonstrated financial need. We encourage anyone for whom cost is a barrier to apply for financial assistance. Learn more about our scholarship program here.
